Testimonials
I am who I am because of the amazing people that have chosen me to be their coach. Each individual I have helped, has helped me understand my crafts better. Believe me when I say, growth is mutual when you work with me. Here's what some of my former and current clients have to say about my approach:
Elieen- Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
You would be very fortunate to have Darryl guide you through your journey to improve your mental health. In the beginning he started me with simple breath work and progressed to complex exercises of holding and counting which left me very calm and content. Add to this the visualization of the breath moving in and out of the body, to this day I am very conscious of how I breathe and the calming effects it has. It has been a couple of years since Darryl has coached me.

Through the visualization exercises I am much more aware of my body, how well it feels and the level of control that is possible. Most of the exercises were done inside and in stillness but some were outside increasing my awareness to my surroundings and connection to the earth. overall an experience that will be with me for the rest of my life.

I have been working with Darryl Council for over a decade, and he is one of the best connections I have to support my ongoing physical and mental health. Since we started working together, my goals have changed and as always, Darryl adapts with ease. In the beginning, he used workouts and challenges to show me how strong I could make my body with hard work and consistency. I did things and best strength I never knew I could.
He has helped me work through injury and food issues and he has collaborated with other who were also supporting me at times to ensure my regiment was understood. These things still continue and now he helps me work through mental challenges and has designed tools that keep me goal oriented and focused on achieving the best results for me. If I could use one word to describe Darryl, it would be empowering.
No matter how you show up to your appointment, you leave with new focus, you’re engaged and ready to take anything on. He is balanced, fair and honest. I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their lives.

I have had the privilege of knowing Darryl as my boxing trainer, creative collaborator, video editor, and trusted confidant, and in every capacity he demonstrates discipline, intelligence, and uncommon depth of character. Entirely self-taught in creative design, copywriting, and video production, he has delivered thoughtful, high-quality work for both my strategy and accounting firms with professionalism and insight.
As a mentor in the martial arts and in life, he embodies the principle that “you must go slow to go fast,” combining patience, humility, and genuine care for others with exceptional listening skills. Darryl is one of the most multidimensional and capable individuals I know — deeply thoughtful, loyal once trust is earned, and someone I am proud to call a colleague, mentor, and friend. – John Swain, CPA, CA

I’m happy to write this letter in support of Darryl Council as he moves further into behavioral coaching. I’ve known Darryl for about ten years, and over that time he has played an important role in both my personal confidence and my professional growth.

Through boxing and mobility training, Darryl helped me build real confidence — not just physically, but mentally. He understands behavior at a practical level: how consistency builds belief, how small wins compound, and how accountability creates change. He doesn’t overcomplicate things. He helps you move forward, steadily.

On the creative side, Darryl has also worked closely with me in my business. He has a rare ability to see the design inside the content — to take ideas that are complex or abstract and help shape them into something clear and compelling. He supported me with website design, creative direction, and marketing ideas, always working with integrity and strong judgment. He sees patterns quickly, both in people and in projects.

What I appreciate most is that Darryl brings steadiness. Whether we were training, working through business ideas, or just talking through life challenges, he made things feel manageable and possible.

I recommend him with confidence for behavioral coaching. He genuinely cares about helping people become stronger and more capable versions of themselves.

Sincerely,
Michael DeVenney
